Chopin
On
the first floor of 12 Place Vendome, the lovely Countess Potocka once
sang arias by Bellini and Pergolese for the master. His music still
seems to be in the air of the Chopin Suite, beneath its superb
allegorical ceiling (a listed national monument) and over its 18th
century marquetry parquet. |

Hemingway
Looking out onto the Cambon gardens, takes its tone from the luminous
colours the write love: pale yellow walls decorated with gilded lyres.
Directoire furniture upholstered in vermilion red. As evening falls over
this delightful setting, where old masters nestle snugly between Gobelin
tapestries, the words of the author whoe called Paris a moveable feast
seem to echo in the air: “I sleep into one of those immense beds that
you find at the Ritz, and my head rests on a bolster the size of a
Zeppelin”. |

Red
and gold dominate in this refined apartment that recreates the world of
the legendary couple he formed with Zelda. Wood paneling, pink and beige
silk upholstery, ceiling-high tapestries: everything here is a hymn to
the exuberance and talent of the writer who shared with César Ritz a
passion for elegance.

Prince of
Galles
The
suite dedicated to him recreates this elegant, carefree atmosphere.
Flowers are the dominant motif in this refined, almost feminine setting
where paintings and Gobelins tapestries share the walls. In tribute to
the Prince’s well-known admiration for female beauty, the portrait of a
Naiad presides over the sitting room. The suite evokes an atmosphere of
gentle charm, and offers a splendid view over the gardens.

Vendôme
The
Vendome Suite is one of the most spacious the hotel has to offer, and
its massive crystal chandelier has shed its light on a long line of
political leaders. You will appreciate its harmonies of red and ivory,
its Luis XVI furnishings with their delicate marquetry, and its vast
windows offering a panorama of the former royal square, designed in
honour of the Sun King.

Cesar Ritz
In
tribute to its great founder, César Ritz, the Ritz named a suite in his
honour, overlooking the Place Vendome which he chose as the location for
his dream of an “ideal hotel”.The very incarnation of the “Ritz style” a
tasteful arrangement of objects d’art and Louis XV and Directoire
furniture epitomizes the elegance and luxury of one of the finest
residences in Paris. The decoration of the bedrooms is romantic, subtle
harmonies of green and pale yellow with a canopied bed in one room, and
silky floral patterns in the second. |

Duc de Windsor
The
delightful Louis XVI furniture is elegantly set off by tapestries and
gilded mouldings. Almond green, salmon or pearl grey, each room has its
own feel and its own particular charm. The floral patterns in the main
bedroom are based on Wallis blue, a shade of pale blue for which the
Duchess had a particular affection. And beyond the inmense windows lies
the Place Vendome. |

Coco Chanel
Each item of furniture, each object in the apartment, lovingly restored
by an art historian, recreates the world in which the designer lived.
The Coromandel lacquers and baroque mirrors cast back the light of the
rock crystal and the gleam of the sofas overlaid with the famous
quilting created by the Grande Mademoiselle. |

Imperiale
Overlooking the Place Vendome, the Imperial Suite recreates the grandeur
of the stately homes of yesteryear, with its soaring ceilings and
impressive volumes. Here time is suspended in its salon, listed as
national monument in its own right. This suite has accommodated many a
queen, no doubt intrigued by the four-poster bed identical to the one in
Marie-Antoinette’s room at Versailles, where the benign eye of Madame de
Pompadour seems still to watch over all. |
