A reconverted monastery dating back to 1430. The original structures are still used. It lies surrounded by a garden set against a background of rare beauty. The parchment and golden decorated book, jealously kept in the hotel safe, is a clear example of Taormina history of tourism. The book begins with the Kaiser photograph and a date, 1905. Personalities of the nobility, politics, culture, science, art, cinema and entertainment, known in the entire world, have inserted their signature on the book.
The Truman suite, decorated with Chinese lacquers and splendid beds in brass, is most beautiful and elegant. The Les Bougainvillées restaurant offers guests typical local dishes or, if you prefer, refined international cuisine. Quite unique, the Congress Centre has been installed in the church of the ancient monastery. It still retains the original exterior.
