Hotel Meurice is one of Europe’s most fashionable hotels. The Hotel is located in the heart of Paris, overlooking the Jardin des Tuileries. Each of the 160 individually decorated rooms combines state-of-the-art amenities with gracious 18th-century furnishings and luxurious fabrics. Naturally lit marble bathrooms are spacious and sumptuous. The unique rooftop Belle Etoile Suite offers sweeping views from the 3,000-square-foot wrap around terrace. The Espace de Bien-Etre, occupying a 3,000-square-foot area on the mezzanine floor, conveys simple purity with marble, wood, stone, and glass, and offers a full range of exercise equipment, saunas, steam baths, and health and beauty treatments by Caudalie.

After a spectacular 2-year renovation, the landmark Meurice is better than ever. The hotel is more media hip and style conscious, in addition to being better located. Since the early 1800s, it has welcomed the royal, the rich, and even the radical: The deposed king of Spain, Alfonso XIII, once occupied suite 108; and the mad genius Salvador Dalí made the Meurice his headquarters, as did General von Cholritz, the Nazi who ruled Paris during the occupation. The mosaic floors, elaborate plaster ceilings, hand-carved moldings, and Art Nouveau glass roof atop the Winter Garden look like new. Each guest room is individually decorated with period pieces, fine carpets, Italian and French fabrics, rare marbles, and modern features. Louis XVI and Empire styles predominate. Some rooms have painted ceilings of puffy clouds and blue skies along with canopied beds. Each unit comes with a full state-of-the-art bathroom.
