A Victorian town house, built at the end of the nineteenth century, Le Parc Victoria Hotel is the only mansion built in Saint Jean de Luz at that time - which is why the neighborhood refers to it as "Le Château". Nearly a century later, after years of virtual neglect, developers coveted the one-hectare site for a new real estate program. The program involved the complete destruction of the building and felling of the ancestral trees in the park.
Close neighbors and long-time admirers of the location, Mr. Larralde and Mr. Pérodeau, the current owners, succeeded in buying the property at the last minute in 1988. They then launched an ambitious renovation and decoration program to bring the charming town house back to life. After three years of efforts, Le Parc Victoria Hotel welcomed its first customers in the summer of 1991.
This charming Hotel offering 18 Rooms and Suites, mostly Art Deco to give a second life to period pieces of furniture, lamps, light fixtures or ornaments found all over France. From marble bathrooms, some of them with a Jacuzzi, to paintings and sculptures, great care was taken to decorate the rooms so that guests feel like a guest at a friend's home, rather than a customer at a hotel.
