Discover Lausanne

Built on three hills on the shores of Lake Geneva, Lausanne enjoys an exceptional location and grandiose panorama across the Alps and the lake. A university town where there is always an emphasis on culture (the Béjart Ballet has its home there), it has a historic quarter composed of exquisite tiny streets in medieval style.

It is also the headquarters of the IOC which created the Olympic Games Museum on the Lausanne-Ouchy quayside. Several of the finest gastronomic restaurants in French-speaking Switzerland are to be found in this city of good taste.

Discover the Lake Leman

This lake with no regard for frontiers (half in France and half in Switzerland) is the largest Alpine lake in Central Europe. Standing on its banks are resplendent towns such as Evian, Thonon, Montreux and the Vaud Riviera, Lausanne and Geneva.

To the east of Lausanne are the famous Dézaley terraced vineyards. A cruise on this lake, like an inland sea, is a magnificent experience.
