Ravello is situated south of Naples perched on a clifftop 350 M (1000ft) above sea level overlooking the spectacular Mediterranean of the famous Amalfi Coast. It is a quiet little town with unique charm and attraction due to the contrasting landscape. The town itself has been boldly laid out in the steep hillside. The glorious surroundings of the clear blue sea, cloudless skies, profusion of flowers, pastel coloured houses and stonework provide a myriad of bright colours throughout the year.
Pompeii and Ercolano with their roman ruins are just a scenic drive from Ravello as well as Paestum with its Greek temples and the mediaeval picturesque villages that are dotted along the coast such as Positano, Amalfi and Praiano.
The islands of Capri and Ischia are within a short boat ride from Amalfi.
