This marvelous 18-hole international golf course was designed by Jack Nicklaus, the golfer of the century, who describes this as one of his best designs. It is a big challenge for even the most expert golfer as well as for beginners. With more than 3000 hours of sun per year, the Montecastillo course has turned into one of the favourites for many golfers.
The golf course covers 160 hectares (395 acres) over tipically Andalusian landscape where the golfer can enjoy an unequalled visit.
Since 1997, the year of the first Volvo Masters Montecastillo has developed a technical and aesthetic renovation plan on the golf course. The administration has invested two million euros each year. Hundreds of olive trees have been planted and new drainage systems have been installed, sand and machinery such as GPS units of the golf carts.
