Hotel Miramonti is the oldest palazzo in Rieti, national monument and hotel since 1971. The building houses in one of its walls, the remains of the ancient wall that encircled the city, which dates from three centuries before Christ. In the main lobby, the bare rock blocks can still be appreciated in their original condition. The rooms of the Hotel Miramonti would normally be found in five star European hotels (specially the suites). Naturally, since rooms is not all that counts for a rating, Miramonti is not a five star, but is one of the only two four stars in Rieti.

The Hotel Miramonti was built in the early seventies by Checco Marinetti, owner of the well known restaurant “il Calice d’Or”, located on the second floor of the hotel. When Checco passed away, his son Luciano took over and he was who refurbished all the rooms... Needless to say, the prices are a bargain and the location very strategically with a lot to see around, including the Mount Terminillo.
