Amalfi, the antique Sea Republic is even reachable in only 5 minutes by car. There, one can visit for example the S. Andrew's Cathedral, the Paradise Cloister and the paper mill museum. Amalfi is well connected with Capri, unique in the world for its three Faraglioni rocks watching out of the sea and the small square ("piazzetta"), the blue grotto and its marvelous villas.
Driving up on the mountain, there is Ravello, the so called "Town of music", where Wagner composed the Parsifal. Furthermore, Ravello is famous all over the world for its two charming villas "Rufolo and Cimbrone" with their enchanting sea-view terraces.
Not far away are Pompei (35 Km), the Vesuvius, Naples, Paestum and many other important places.
