Hotel Duques de Medinaceli has 19 Junior Suites and 8 Rooms that are in two buildings with a glass gallery built around a classic Andalusia patio. There are interconnecting Room and Junior Suites for families. Dating from the 17th Century and with additions and refurbishments over the years, it was originally the home of the Dukes of Medinaceli who were important citizens in the Port of Santa Maria. The palace was also once the home of the Terry family (Brandy Bodega).

The superb restaurant Queen Isabel has a cuisine that focuses on the seafood and fish of the area, and also Andalusia traditional gastronomy, and is presided over by Chef Pedro ONeale. Although it is located in the centre of the city, the hotel has a private, peaceful feel to it. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens with very old trees, and has a small swimming pool, private parking, and sauna as well as a bar and exquisite restaurant. The town of El Puerto de Santa Maria is fascinating and provides a good chance to experience seaside town, with its many inexpensive and casual seafood restaurants.
