Hotel Condes de Barcelona is located in the heart of the Quadrat d’Or, an area famous for modernism, Catalonia´s exuberant brand of Art Nouveau. Originally designed to be a private villa (1895), is one of Barcelona's most glamorous hotel.
In the corner facing Gaudi’s La Pedrera are two magnificent palaces: the Casa J. Daurella (1872) and the Casa E. Batlló (1895), which in 2002, leading architects have renovated and enlarged, converting them into the current first-class modern hotel.
The Hotel counts on 183 rooms specially designed for your well-being. All the cozy rooms, in salmon, green, or peach color schemes, have marble bathrooms with shower-tub combinations, reproductions of Spanish paintings, and soundproof windows. Some rooms are already beginning to show a post-Olympian wear and tear. Some of them have Jacuzzi and terrace.
Once you are in Barcelona you have to get to know the hotel's restaurant: "Thalassa". Mediterranean cooking based on the quality of its products, which are specially selected by chef Antonio Martínez and, of course, his Maître Joaquín Corrales, will surprise you with an excellent wine, making your dinner an unforgettable experience.
