The «Sirenuse» Fitness Centre – with gym, sauna, steam bath and Jacuzzi – was created under the arches of the original medieval building.

A particularly fascinating feature is that the underlying Etruscan walls are visible through the transparent base of the swimming pool.

• COOKING LESSONS FOR LOVERS OF FINE ITALIAN CUISINE

Each lesson lasts three hours and consists of theory and hands-on experience. Students will receive booklets or written recipes for the dishes prepared and a participation certificate upon completion of the course. All lessons are followed by a tasting of the dishes prepared.


• A VISIT TO A MAJOLICA CERAMICS FACTORY IN DERUTA

The guided tour begins with the historical background of the factory and of the fine art of majolica. A visit of the factory will follow with an explanation of all the work phases. Each step of the process is executed by hand, by local artisans. The visit finishes at the factory shop where clients may buy original ceramics.


• A VISIT TO A LOCAL CHOCOLATE FACTORY

The tour begins with a film that tells the history of the company and illustrates the various phases in the preparation of chocolate. The tour continues with a visit to the factory where you can see fine chocolate being prepared by modern methods, and concludes with a opportunity to taste some of the chocolates and make purchases from the factory shop.


• WINE TASTING AND TOUR OF A LOCAL VINEYARD

The tour includes a tour of the vineyard, a visit to the wine cellars and a tasting session of three different wines. The wine tasting can be accompanied by a selection of local dishes and cold meats on request. The visit to the wine cellars can be subject to limitations due to periodic work (fermentation, racking…). Wine tours are by booking only for groups of min. 6, max 15 people.


• FOR THE DARING: DEFENSIVE DRIVING LESSONS AND TEST DRIVES

The defensive driving lesson runs for an afternoon and is comprised of theory and practical sections.
The theory section covers lessons on correct seating position, use of on-board electronic systems for enhanced active security plus maintenance tips and basic mechanical systems checks.
The practical section includes two or three exercises, depending on track availability: panic stop, differentiated braking, slalom and spins.
The test drive involves a theory briefing followed by circuits on a racetrack in a stock car. Instructors and mechanics will also be present.
