Grand Hotel Villa Igiea was projected in 1908 by Ernesto Basile, one of the greatest exponents of the Liberty style. The building is majestic outside and inside, a five star property on a privileged location overlooking the bay of Palermo with beautiful green grounds. The Rooms are very nice and spacious with the peculiarity that the price is the same for sea view or not. The Suites are just as one would expect them to be in a hotel of this standing, but again, for the same price you can have a suite with a huge terrace right in front of the bay or one with just a window and a balcony. As for the Junior Suites, they are located on the south wing; each one has a lovely petit octagonal salon on the corner of the building with two sea view balconies that communicate in a wraparound manner to other two in the bedroom. One of the biggest assets of Villa Igiea is the personal; everybody is friendly and ready to help. The hotel has also a beautiful stone vaulted ceiling lounge and bar, next to the restaurant, where live piano is played until midnight, don’t miss it.
