Domaine de Châteauvieux is located just 15 minutes drive from the Geneva Airport, a convenient hotel choice for a first or last night in Switzerland, or as a hub from which to explore the Lake Geneva area. It is hard to understand that you are only a few Km west of a large city as you approach this 15th Century stone manor snuggled on a gentle knoll of a hill laced with vineyards.
You enter through the front gates into a courtyard with an antique wine press surrounded by a plenty of bright flowers. Inside the Domaine de Châteauvieux there is a tasteful array of antiques gracefully intermingled with new furnishings and bouquets of fresh flowers to give a feeling of coziness and warmth.
In the summer, meals are served out on the terrace overlooking the vineyards. On chilly days, meals are served in a very attractive dining room brimming with old world ambiance. The hotel is owned by Philippe Chevrier, a superb chef who has justifiably earned two stars from Michelin for his fine restaurant, and his wife Magali, an extremely gracious hostess.
