Chateau de L'ile is situated between Strasbourg and the International Airport, in the suburban village of Ostwald. This original Chateau de L'ile building itself is only part of the property. For the most, the wings of the building where the majority of the rooms are located were added recently and they were made in the style of the typical Alsatian houses. All the rooms are exceptionally comfortable and very well decorated. Particularly the bathrooms are exceptional, spacious with double sinks and with power jet showers independent from the tubs, in all bathrooms. This 19th century château stands in a 10 acre park in a wooded loop of the Ill River. It allies traditional Alsatian architecture: half-timbering, sand stone, flowered balconies, and terraces.
