Set on the border between Normandy & Bretagne, 20 Km South of Mont-Saint-Michel, in a uniquely preserved agricultural landscape of rolling hills, forests and wild. It is an historic house in tune with today's tastes, a retreat for many artists and writers. It is a glorious base from which to enjoy this unspoilt region's countryside, coast and charming towns such as Dinan, Dinard, Cancale, Combourg, Fougères and Saint-Malo.

The four large and beautifully appointed bedrooms and the suite, all with canopy beds and private en suite bathrooms are individually themed in period styles and furnished with elegant antiques and artworks. The carefully selected artworks and graceful intimacy create a pleasant, luxurious atmosphere of absolute serenity.

The gardens of Chateau de la Ballue present 13 surprises for the visitor, a series of theatrical gardens in the baroque or mannerist style of the sixteenth centuries. This includes a fernery, a water trap, a scented chamber, an open air theatre, a temple of Diana, a maze and many other delights.
