Napoleon Room

This room is completely dedicated to the battle of Waterloo; with prints, pictures, maps and an 18 sq. m battle scene of Napoleon´s defeat al "La belle alliance". The model has 2000 soldiers and about 500 horses, all of them hand painted. It is possibly the biggest model of the battle of Waterloo in the world.

WHY?

Current owner Albert Diks' Great grandfather was a veteran of Napoleons grand army and kept a diary about his adventures with the emperor. This inspired Albert to build the model that took 20 years to complete.

Conference Rooms

The conference rooms are just as special as the rest of the hotel. Would you like to make the best out of your board meeting? How about remembering a conference with pleasure and inspiration?

We offer you two options: the first option is the room Pere Margarit, located in the medieval knight room of the castle. This room is naturally bright. The light comes from the big gothic windows, which overlook the courtyard, the chapel and the olive grove garden. It can hold up to 20 people.

Our second meeting room is located in the old wine cellar, with its ancient and thick stonewalls. This room is beautifully decorated and has magnificent views over the Eastern side of the mountains, as well as over the castle's gardens. It has direct access to a private terrace where one can work or enjoy a coffee break. It can hold up to 24 people.

Castell d'Empordà is the ideal place to discover Catalonia, at the Northeast of Spain. The enchanting landscape, filled with rolling hills and picturesque stone-built villages is a pleasure to explore.
There are outstanding walks, hikes and bike routes, as well as a wide range of possibilities for sports and culture. The Pyrenees are just around the corner and the area is a golfers paradise with 9 golf courses.

The nearby cities of Girona and Figueres are full of historical and cultural interest, with monuments and museums, such as the famous and bizarre Teatre Museu Dalí.
